Ciao and welcome! I am Giovanni Scala – for most people here simply Gio. “Il mio sogno” means “my dream,” and that is exactly what this tavern is for me: a place where good food, warmth, and a piece of Italian home come together.
If you pass by Fiedeler Platz, there is a good chance I will greet you from across the street. People know each other here – and if not, they will soon.
At “Il mio sogno,” two worlds come together: the warm, uncomplicated soul of a true Italian tavern – lively conversations, the aroma of freshly baked pizza, a glass of vino – and a kitchen that works with care, quality ingredients, and plenty of experience.
Down-to-earth yet special. Just like Italy itself.
From bruschetta to 19 pizzas to fresh pasta and homemade tiramisù – our menu is a declaration of love for Italian cuisine. Also available for takeout.
In addition to the regular menu, there are regularly changing daily dishes and seasonal recommendations – depending on what the market offers and what Gio feels like making. Best to simply ask.
We have been welcoming many of our guests for years. People know each other, greet each other, are addressed by name. Guests become regulars, regulars become friends.
Whether a spontaneous dinner, a glass of wine outside on the terrace, or a special meal with family – everyone finds their place here. And if it suddenly rains, we all simply huddle together under the awning.
